Group Role
Today we decided on a business idea. We decided to start a Themed catering service. I have been assigned the role of Market Researcher and have begun work by researching relevant competition and potential target markets. I have since found out that the catering industry is a fairly lucrative one with a number of big competitors. We, however, have an edge by being the only service (according to my thorough research) that offers completely personalised, themed food. We decided that the way we would work would be that the customer would come to us with an idea for a theme; this could be anything from pirate to casino/james bond. We would then have a one on one meeting with them to discuss menu possibilities and subsequently create prototypes for them to try. Once they had approved, we would be able to prod personalised uce a completely, themed menu to cater for as many people as necessary. Obviously because the service is so personal and specialised we would be justified in charging a high amount and would therefore aim our service at young minded affluent individuals between the ages of 25 and 50. My research also showed there was a big market for high class catering events aimed at this demographic.

E&E
After a few weeks of desperately trying to get my group together for a meeting, I have come to the realisation that none of them can be bothered with this unit. While I don't blame them, i am determined to achieve a good grade and done my fair share of the work. This in mind, I have assembled another group of like minded individuals to work with: Myself, Joseph Bicknell, Paolo Ferraro, Elliot Linehan-Cross, Alex Harman and Alex Fine.
